Debating Matters Team
- Grace Barr

is in Year 12 studying music, French, physics and maths. She is married to music – playing both the piano and the bassoon, but has put her instruments aside for today’s battle of ideas. Grace also enjoys painting and listening to ‘old-time’ radio.
- Chloe Jones
-

is in Year 13 and studying English, drama and politics. Outside of debating she is passionate about vegetables, art and Dr Who. She is the Team’s resident drama queen and unlike everyone else in the team she has no musical talent whatsoever.
- Anna Muncey
-

is in year 13 studying psychology, English, history and music. She runs the lower school debating club and hopes to read law at university. She plays many musical instruments (piano, saxophone, tuba) but mostly enjoys correcting other people’s punctuation.
- Laura Pritchard
-

is in year 12 currently studying music, English literature, biology and physics. She plays the trumpet and the piano and has an over-emotional response to absolutely everything. She particularly enjoys playing air trumpet.
- Ropa Rusere

Previous team members
- Priya Francis

- Isobel Bates
-

is studying English literature, drama, philosophy and ethics. Her interests include show-jumping, cooking and seeing unsigned bands. She also has a passion for dramatics and always calls debate meetings ‘rehearsals’. Isobel has appeared recently in productions of both “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Crucible”. It is impossible to get her to do anything unless she has been made a cup of tea with a copious amount of sugar. Isobel intends to help coach younger Kings Norton debaters during her gap year, after which she hopes to read law at university.
- Humza Chaudhry
-

is studying English Literature, French, Maths and Critical thinking. He has recently started salsa lessons and also manages to play football once a month on a Sunday. In the near future, he hopes to read Arabic and French at university.

When possible, she is first in line at any 80s-themed roller disco, however, she is hoping to leave her skates behind and take a business Management and Languages course at Birmingham University.
